This is a totally reconditioned Buescher 400 tenor in very nice refurbished condition. It features an underslung octave key, made by just one man: Buescher. This instrument was made in Windeham, Germany in 1948 following World War II. During the war, Buescher was told by the Nazis to shut down his instrument-making operations and to start making pistols. So, Buescher stored away his instrument-making materials but following the war, found that he had enough to make 100 of these saxes. This is one of those very few 100 Bueschers manufactured directly after WWII. The Buescher 400 is a predecessor of the Mark IV with a 6.5" bell for bigger and better sound (most tenor saxes have a 6" bell.) The keys and the g-sharp cluster feature real pearl inlay, all pads are brand new, completely refurbished and overhauled, cleaned, sanitized and relacquered. This instrument is offered for sale from a well-established, reputable music instrument supplier/refurbisher. All instruments have been completely refurbished, cleaned, sanitized, hand buffed and relacquered with pride. All instruments come with a 1-year guarantee that anything will be fixed if a problem arises (barring abuse.)
