All
American Music Fest - Music Festival in Orlando, Florida sponsors adjudicated
musical events for students from around the world in Concert Bands, Marching
Bands, Jazz Bands, Orchestras, Choral Groups, Color Guard, Drill Teams,
Dance Groups and other performance groups.
Atlantic
Indoor Association - Competitive circuit created in 1994 to support
and benefit organizations which engage in or support youth activities in
the performing arts including elements of music, choreography and theater
in color guards, percussion units and dance teams. This site includes
info on AIA, bylaws, meetings and show applications.
Bands
of America- Bands of America's mission is to support the development
of a positive self-worth in every participant involved in the band activity
- performers, teachers, parents and community - through a series of internationally-acclaimed
events. Bands of America focuses on individual character building, self-discipline
and leadership qualities.
British
Youth Band Association - Contests staged nation-wide from May through
National Championships in October. The points gained at contests are counted
towards a league system that is run rather like the Football Association's.
The top ten of each division are invited to the annual Finals to decide
the National Champions. Also, an Individuals & Ensemble competition
is held on a regional basis leading to a National Final in the early part
of the year. At any BYBA event you are likely to see anything from the
traditional Boys' Brigade Bugle Band to a flamboyant American-style Show
Band complete with flag-waving Colour Guard. Site includes news, events,
forums and links . There are two publications distributed to Association
members - the quarterly Notebook
(the
Official magazine of the BYBA) and the Herald
Newsletter.
California
Color Guard Circuit - The California Color Guard Circuit was established
in 1964 with the objective "to promote color guard contests, thereby perpetuating
pageantry and effectiveness of the member units". The C.C.G.C. has grown
from the six charter units to a circuit of over 60 Color Guard units competing
in 9 classifications and 12 Percussion units competing in 5 classifications.
The C.C.G.C. has been the circuit of 14 World Champions, 18 WGI medallists
and many WGI finalists.
Cavalcade
of Bands - An association of high school and university marching bands,
indoor guard and percussion, and jazz bands in southeastern PA.
Color
Guard Netherlands - The new homepage of Color Guard Netherlands (CGN). CGN is a part of the
KNFM. Color Guard Netherlands is the regional
circuit for guards from The Netherlands and other countries like Belgium
and Germany. The year 2000 marked the 20th anniversary of color guard in
The Netherlands.

Drum and Bugle Corps Association - A nonprofit
Corporation registered in the State of North Dakota which seeks to serve
youth throughout the states of North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota
by offering a variety of educational activities to them.
Gulf
Coast Color Guard & Percussion Circuit - The Gulfcoast Circuit
exists for the advancement of winter guards and indoor percussion units along
the gulf coast of Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana. Includes
membership information, schedules, photos, links.
Indiana
Percussion Assoc. - IPA uses clinics and
competition to improve percussion education. IPA provides competition venues
for groups sharpening their skills as they prepare for WGI competition.
Michigan
Color Guard Circuit - A WGI-sanctioned competing organization in existence
since 1975. Site includes pictures, news, links and forms for circuit members.
The Mid Atlantic Percussion Society (MAPS)
- Competitive circuit in the Mid Atlantic region for marching and concert percussion ensemble.
Mid-Continent
Color Guard Association- The Mid-Continent Color Guard Association (MCCGA) is a winter color guard circuit serving independent and scholastic
guards from Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri.
New
York State Field Band Conference - Serving the NY high school marching
band community. On this site you'll find general information and current
events concerning the NYS Field Band Community.
The
North Texas Color Guard Association- Formed in 1993 to provide
an arena for the competitive winter guard activity in the North Texas area.
Site includes contest and score info, links, classifieds and archives.
Rocky Mountain
Color Guard Assoc. - Guard association for the Rocky Mountain region.
Based in metro Denver, RMCGA has been in the pageantry arts arena for over
25 years. Includes classifieds, news, member information, scores and schedules.
Southeastern
Color Guard Circuit - The official SCGC site will feature scores, schedules,
and all up-to-date information.
Summer
Bands International- Independent competing bands made up of students
from different schools. They are an associate member of DCI and compete
at many of the Pacific coast shows in the Youth Band Class.
Tournament
of Bands - A 13-chapter, 9-state competitive band
organization serving, roughly, the eastern U.S. Site includes classifieds,

Tournament Indoor Association
- Aka TIA (previously TIDA) is the indoor division of Tournament
of Bands including both scholastic and independent classifications.
USSBA
- United States Scholastic Band Association. Started initially as a small
group of bands that constituted the original Cadets Marching Band Cooperative (CMBC) who all gathered together for a single show in the fall of 1988,
Scholastic Services has grown to an organization that supports a variety
of education-based services and activities. The largest of these is the
US Scholastic Band Association (the USSBA), a music education support organization
servicing over 300 participating units. USSBA is a division
of YEA!.
World
Association of Marching Show Bands -An international association
dedicated to promoting communication and interaction between international
bands. Encourages participation in marching show bands world wide
and the staging of world class band events. Membership is open to directors
of marching show bands whose units are interested in participating in international
events around the world.
Associations(Non competition-sponsoring organizations)
The
Auxiliary Dance Alliance (TADA) -TADA's mission is to assist, educate,
network, and promote directors, aspiring directors, officers, team members,
aspiring auxiliary dancers, and related organizations who work within the
disciplines of color guard, dance/drill teams, majorettes, pom teams, winter
guards
and other auxiliary performing groups.
Dance/Drill
Team Directors of America - A national professional organization for
directors, coaches and sponsors of performing groups. Their purpose is
to unite directors of dance/drill teams, pep squads and song leaders of
public, private and parochial schools, as well as dance studios to promote
high professional standards.Features include: Legal Counseling,
a quarterly magazine, "Director's Insights", over 500 contacts with other
directors and businesses in the field, an annual national convention, mentor
program for new directors, DTDA Membership Directory and Business Pages
and Regional Conferences and workshops.
The
National Association for Music Education (MENC)
- Dedicated
to advancing music education as a profession and to ensure that every child
in America has access to a balanced, sequential, high-quality education
that includes music as a core subject of study.
YEA!
- "The mission of YEA! is to support the development of young people into
magnificent human beings through their participation in the performing
arts." YEA! consists of several junior drum corps, USSBA and other groups
and programs.
